eet Panchal (8), son of Naresh D. Panchal of Precision Engineering and Systems Division, has been awarded two gold medals in the 16th Annual World Funakoshi Shotokan National Karate Championship held at the Priyadarshini Sports Complex, Mumbai, in the Kata and Kumite events. Meet has been a student of Champ’s Bu-Jutsu Institute, Mumbai.

 

 

rupti Helegaonkar of Standard X participated in the Kochi International Yachting Regatta and Water Sports Show 2005 held at Kochi from 30 September to 2 October, 2005. As part of an all women’s team, she participated for the first time in this international sport and won a special prize of a return air ticket to any destination of her choice within India. The Udayachal High School is proud of you, Trupti.

YAMAGUCHI and KYOSHI VISPY KAPADIA, 7th Degree Black Belt
and Asia Coordinator.

ERFEGAR J DALAL, 11, son of Mr. Jehangir E. Dalal, Appliance Division was selected to participate in the 4th KARATE-DO GOJUKAI WORLD TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP & TECHNICAL SEMINAR at Rotterdam, Netherlands held from 7th to 18th November 2005. This World Championship tournament is held once in 4 years and over 40 countries participated this year.

At Rotterdam, Netherlands in the World Championship tournament Kerfegar in Kata (Form) Competition for Boys 10 – 12 years came up to the Semi Finals and in Kumite (Sparing) he lost to an Iranian, who was the ultimate winner of the tournament. Kerfegar put up a commendable performance in the Tournament.
