Nekshad Irani was born in Jamshedpur on 9th October 1994. His father works as a Sales Manager in Godrej Appliance Division & the family has to be on the move every 2/3 years. Yet it has not deterred the young boy to follow his dream. While in Pune, Nekshad had topped in the Maharashtra Mandal Sports Academy being the first Parsi boy to qualify for the award with his overall performance. At present in Nagpur he is a student of Centre Point (CBSE), Katol Road Branch, studying in class 5. Nekshad apart from A+ in academics also excels in Sports such as Speed Roller Skating and Cricket. He won the RSFI (Roller Skating Federation of India) District Gold and Silver medal to qualify for the State level competition, which was held at Nasik. He came up with a superb performance winning Silver medal in the ‘Under-12’ years category.
In the Madhukarrao Padhye Memorial Inter school Cricket ‘Under -11’ years cricket tournament organized jointly by the Vidarbha Gymkhana and Karnewar Cricket Organizing Committee, Nekshad who is being coached in school as a ‘pace Bowler’ claimed 4 wickets. The school registered a thumping victory against Saraswati Vidyalaya chasing a total of 107 runs in 20 overs and Nekshad was given an individual prize of “Best Upcoming Cricketer” at the above tournament.
