First Anniversary

Senior Citizens’ Group of Pirojshanagar was a year old on 10 May, 2005,
and decided to celebrate the occasion in a big way. We invited Susmita
Singh, Senior Executive, Pragati Kendra, to cut the “birthday cake”. We
also felicitated five senior members who had completed 75 years of age.
One of them, who had recently lost his wife, could not attend.
We had another special day on 4 May, when we carried out a diabetes (blood glucose) check camp. In all, 28 people of various age groups were checked by Dr. Homi Bilimoria, assisted by Dr. D.R. Kene. Six people were found to be diabetic, and were advised to seek medical attention.
