Pirojshanagar Senior Citizens' Group now has a new venue to hold its
meetings and events, thanks to Smita Godrej Crishna, Anil G. Verma, Senior
Vice President and Head, Personnel & Administration, and Susmita R. Singh,
Senior Executive, Pragati Kendra. We have settled in comfortably at the new
premises in Block F1, Ground Floor, Godrej Hillside Colony. We hold small
parties there to celebrate birthdays and special occasions. In fact, last
month we had four birthday parties.
From a humble beginning of 11 members, we now have 26 members, and we're still going strong. One of our members, S.J. Joshi, who is a former Deputy Manager, State Bank of India, and a budding astrologer, has been appointed by the Godrej Memorial Hospital to work as a part-time volunteer. Dr. Homi N. Bilimoria is already working as part-time Volunteer Counsellor for the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital. This only goes to prove that, if given a chance, senior citizens can still be useful to society!
