The programme commenced with Manu Parpia, Managing Director, GSSL, and his family lighting the traditional diya, followed by presentations on the past, present and future of GSSL by Parpia and Kalidas Surpaneni, Vice President (Sales). Among the high points of the day were the Long Service Awards presented in unique style, with couplets spun by our homegrown poet, Anubhaw Bansal, Software Engineer, and the Special Nestlib (Jewel-In-The-Crown) Award, which filled all Geometricians’ hearts with pride. To usher in the party mood, there was a lively group dance, an excellent skit, a solo act and instrumental performances of old Hindi film songs. The entire crowd then hit the dance floor. The ambience was just right with a school bell on the stage, along with a merit list, photographs of old-timers and awardees and a collage of all employees as a backdrop.
In Pune, the evening began with the awards ceremony and employees who had completed 10 years of service with GSSL were gifted special watches bearing the Geometric logo. We launched our community initiative programme on the same day, again, in a unique way. Children of "Dnyanadevi NGO", with whom GSSL has partnered, performed a skit thanking GSSL for lending a helping hand. This was followed by Parpia’s presentation, which covered the past, present and future of Geometric. This was followed by a gracious kathak performance by Phani Karthik, wife of Phani Maradani, Software Engineer with GSSL. There were also performances by our in-house dance troupe, in-house band christened "Algorythem", a hilarious skit, mimicry, and other presentations by children and family members. At the end, a local artiste from Pune, Preeti Bhalla, presented a few remix numbers, which set the dance floor on fire. Geometric Software Corporate |
