Vaishali Magare
A painter, writer, social worker,
programmer, analyst, project leader, project manager — a multifaceted
personality combining various roles in life. That’s Vaishali Magare, an
Analyst with the SP-Projects Group (HRIS) with the Godrej parivar in
Godrej Infotech Ltd.
Apart
from being featured in the news and on current affairs programmes by
both local and national print and audio-visual media for her social
work, she has also been awarded several District, State and National
honours in 2001 and 2002, felicitating her for her achievements in
various fields. Vaishali was awarded the Rashtriya Rattan Award in
Bangalore in the presence of leading luminaries such as H.T. Sangliana,
Police Commissioner of Bangalore, H.M. Revanna, Minister for Sericulture
and Textiles, Government of Karnataka, and Allum Verrabadhrappa,
President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee. She received the
Indira Gandhi Sadbhavana Award in New Delhi for “Outstanding individual
achievement and distinguished services to the nation”. It was a proud
moment for her when Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit presented Vaishali
with the Virangana Savitribai Phule Fellowship Award. Vaishali is living
proof of the success of Savitribai’s vision.
There have also been State-level awards
such as the Kamgar Rattan Award given by the Human Resources Development
Services Academy, Mumbai, a State-level institution dedicated to the
training and welfare of employees in different fields. Vaishali’s kitty
of awards also includes prizes for poetry recitation, dance and other
cultural activities during inter-school and college competitions.
Among her many activities, Vaishali is
currently writing and publishing a book titled Linear Integrated
Circuits for Electronic Engineering students.
Not resting on her laurels after securing
a distinction in Electronic Engineering, Vaishali has pursued her vision
of continuing education to meet day-to-day imperatives. She has obtained
certification on various computer-related technologies such as RDBMS
(Relational Data Base Management Systems), SQL (Structured Query
Language) Server and Active Server Pages. She is also a Microsoft
Certified Professional (MCP) and Microsoft Certified Database
Administrator (MCDBA).
Despite her busy schedule, Vaishali has
managed to keep her interest in painting and fine art alive over the
years.
Vaishali’s motto in life is simple and
clear. She believes there is much left to achieve and miles to go before
she even thinks of resting. The urge to learn and give is infinite...
